Hi welcome to my blog!...my name is ron storer and this blog profiles my life as an wedding photographer living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with my wonderful wife Denise (aka Neesie) and my two boys Grant and Torey.  In the earlier years I gained a lot of experience working with various advertising agencies and ministries throughout the world photographing various needs from Aviation to AIDS.  Prior to that I raced for the US Cycling Team winning a Gold Medal in the Pan-Am Games in the Team Pursuit.

Today I work with incredible people that are a joy to be around and have an artistic flare for life on their most special day of their life - whether local or a destination wedding. Yes, it is true that I am an Artistic Award Winning Wedding Photographer, but really each of these moments that are so special are just real endearing moments that I was just fortunate to be at when they happened. If you were to ask me how I view life I would say: with passion!  I love life.  I love people.  I love real special moments.  And that is what this blog is all about.  If you haven't visited my Web site yet, please check it out. If you would like to chat drop me an email or give me a call at  1-888-836-2248.

blogging from anywhere

This morning I am in a field right now doing a shoot for a client that I can’t talk about but I thought I would just say how much I love being able to blog from anywhere. Up here on a ladder in the middle of a field.

why do i laugh when someone is in pain?

I was in a meeting tonight and Russ had a huge bag of ice on his leg for his pulled calf muscle…and all I could do was laugh! How insensitive! Sorry Russ it’s not personal. I know it tells you that I really can be a jerk, but after the laugh I settle down and offer help.

Perhaps it’s sick…I am not sure why. Perhaps it’s because I have crashed so many times and each time it hurt so bad that the only way to get over the pain was to laugh. How I wish I had video of some of the crashes I was in, but this will have to do for now.

Crumb! I am laughing again!

steve is in afghanistan

Steve shipped out a couple of days ago and now Steve and Sam will be separated for many months. So to help with it all I am putting a new pic up each week. Remember they haven’t seen these yet either so “you all” get to share in their joy. Looks like a bit of my southern accent slipped in there. Please remember to pray for them… I know we would appreciate it so much.

lovin life!

i just stood and stared

No kidding, I went to the gas station and just stared. Uhhhh, now tell me why did gas get to this point? Demand is high I know, and it is being traded higher but exactly what am I missing here. Why isn’t there a public outcry? I know I am just venting here, but if you know of a high powered mogul, could you just give a call and tell him or her to drop the price a bit…maybe 2 bucks…goodness!

Ok, now I have another reason to get on the bike besides being overweight;)

repentance or animosity

I think we have all seen them: people that “feel” bent on condemning rather than moving people to repentance. I hurt for them. It is so easy to just go around and blame this or that group. I can’t imagine that anyone is served well in this situation. Most Christians I believe are embarrassed by this type of behavior. And the people that read these signs are angered. What do you think?

a silk road journey

Tonight we took the family to see Brandon Patoc’s gallery now showing at Glazer’s Camera in Seattle.

For you tech buffs he shot it with a Hasselblad XPan and then printed each image using a silver gelatin process. Brandon is a good friend and an gifted young man that has a real artistic eye. So if you can squeeze over to the rental store and see the gallery now showing until June 14th. Admission is free.

calaya and alex

One of the more enjoyable things about my job is seeing people in love…and I love it!

Just before entering the Marines, Alex and Calaya got married. We had a quick ceremony and got rained on a bit while having the opportunity to meet some delightful people such as Catherine and Kevin…completely precious!

the eyes have it

Every week I roll out another image with this special couple, as Steve leaves for Afghanistan. As I was there in this shoot, I realized without a doubt Sam has some of the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen. I love this couple!

Please remember to pray for Sam and Steve -
